Partnership to amplify Arcadia’s growth trajectory in wireless tower development and management for commercial, private, and municipal property owners.
June 29, 2021. Arcadia Towers Group, LLC (“Arcadia”) announced today a newly formed partnership with SDC Capital Partners, LLC (“SDC”). SDC has committed up to $50 million of equity capital to support Arcadia’s growth.
Arcadia is a leading developer, owner, and manager of communication tower infrastructure and rooftop sites that serve as critical locations for commercial, industrial, and public wireless networks. SDC’s investment will support Arcadia’s growth across the company’s four strategic initiatives: municipal & school district partnerships; acquisitions of existing tower assets; carrier build-to-suit services; and rooftop management for commercial real estate owners.
“We are thrilled to welcome SDC as an investor and trusted advisor,” says Sam Johnston, Arcadia’s co-founder and CEO. “The SDC team brings a wealth of operating experience and focus on digital infrastructure that aligns with Arcadia’s long-term strategic plan. SDC’s investment allows us to aggressively develop and acquire the wireless sites needed by our carrier-customers as they deploy new spectrum and densify their networks, to fulfill the promise of 5G technology,” adds Johnston. “We look forward to partnering with municipalities, school districts, real estate owners, and tower developers to help achieve that promise.”
“Sam and team have an established history and exceptional reputation as successful developers and operators
of communications infrastructure, both with wireless carriers as well as the communities in which they do business,” said Alexander Kelloff, Partner at SDC. “With the deployment of 5G and continued network investment across the communications ecosystem, it’s an exciting era for the wireless industry and Arcadia. We look forward to helping accelerate Arcadia’s growth.”
Experienced industry leaders, John Rolander and Scott Billups join Arcadia’s management team. Rolander serves as Chief Development Officer, responsible for the company’s private public partnership program with school districts and municipalities. Rolander most recently served as a Managing Director of Capital Markets and Municipal Underwriting in the public finance industry. Billups serves as CFO and oversees the company’s financial and M&A activities. He has served in the CFO role for multiple private equity-backed portfolio companies in the financial services industry and has experience as a senior finance executive with public companies.
